Hi everyone!
If you're reading this page, that probably means that:
a) You are trying to find samples of my blogging for an application
b) You didn't like my Facebook page like you should have by now, and have no idea my blog shifted over...
I hope it's choice a).
Anyways, I have a new website which better incorporates both my photos in an appealing way AND houses my blog, and you can see that lovely new website here!
Thanks for hanging in there with me, and thanks for reading my blog all summer. You guys rock!
xoxo,
Maddy Hill

The beach, Haley's senior photos, and other random adventures
It. Has. Been. Way. Too. Long.
After a long road trip through the great Midwest, reaching Florida meant putting the computer away for (most) of the week. It was so great seeing our sweet family friends in Florida; we spent so much time together and it was terribly sad having to say goodbye! I had the privilege of capturing Haley's senior photos, however, which she totally rocked in. We shot in Rosemary Beach, Inlet Beach, and Alys Beach-- talk about a location shoot! There were a few setbacks what with the beach being insanely windy that day as well as the sun setting a bit earlier than anticipated, but I ended up LOVING what came out of those obstacles! Here are some of my favorites.

Vacation Day 7: Michigan to Cincinnati
"ART IS THE MOST INTENSE MODE OF INDIVIDUALISM THAT THE WORLD HAS KNOWN."
{OSCAR WILDE}
It's been a while since I've posted on the blog, thanks to poor wifi and lots of driving from city to city. But I'm back, and edited a good amount of photos for this post for y'all to enjoy!

Vacation Day 1: Ohio
"ONE TOUCH OF NATURE MAKES THE WHOLE WORLD KIN."
{WILLIAM SHAKESPEARE}
Today I got to see my lovely Grandma after a year and a half! It has been way too long since I got to see her last, but that just made seeing her that much sweeter. It feels so good to know that I can be away from Ohio for so long and still feel so at home whenever I come back. As much as I love Texas, there will always be a part of me that only Ohio can understand. Ohio in the summer is something that most people don't understand the beauty of, and probably many residents of the state take for granted, but it surely doesn't go unnoticed in my eyes. The weather is perfect--today it was sunny and 65 with a breeze--the grass is soft and green, the sky is blue, and the flowers are still in bloom and not dead yet (like many Texas plants of the non-cactus variety).

So many exciting things to look forward to!
I would just like to take a minute to give a shoutout to the man above for giving me such great photo opportunities and fun adventures this past weekend. I was able to take bridal shower photos, attend a concert in the park with one of my best friends and my sister, and take a day trip to Austin to visit friends with a very old family friend and my sister.
DIY Name Tags and Place Cards
After making the Pennant Banner for the bridal shower, I made name tags and place cards as well. They are cute and really simple to make, and matched the banner so well! This post isn't as detailed as the DIY Pennant Banner because I don't have as many pictures from the process, but I will explain it in as most detail as possible.
